Canada HiFi Magazine Terms and Conditions. Listed below, please find our Terms and Conditions of use of the Canada HiFi Magazine community forum. Anyone caught disobeying these guidelines will be issued a warning or have their account privileges suspended. (1)Flame/Flamebait Flaming is expressing anger at someone in uncouth ways with out of character (OOC) comments. Flamebait are posts that are made with the aim of angering someone indirectly. Forum users should not be participating in either as in doing so will result in a warning. (2)Multiple Accounts Multiple accounts on these forums are not allowed. If a user has more than one account they will be deleted. If the user creates more multiple accounts their IP will be banned. (3)Advertising Any form of advertising will not be tolerated. If a post or signature is made showing how to get to other forums, are explicitly or indirectly selling a product, the post starter will receive a warning or be suspended. (4)Topic Hijacking or Forum Flooding Hijacking is forcing the current thread discussion off of the original topic and usually results in spam, flooding or flame from either side. Forum users found hijacking threads will be given a warning. (5)Trolling Trolling is submitting posts with the aim of angering a group instead of an individual. Trolling is not tolerated and will result in a warning and/or suspension. (6)Repeat Topics One topic is enough. Repeat topics will be locked and moved to the archives and the author will be given a warning. Users found creating repeat topics after others were locked by staff will result in a temp-ban. (7a)Spam Posts anywhere in the forums should be of substance. "Smiley Spam," where a user posts a topic or reply without any dialogue and a lone forum smiley, will be met with a warning. (7b)No more than 5 "Smileys" are allowed in a post or reply. (8)Mild/Explicit Language Mild expletives (crap, damn, etc.) are generally frowned upon and should be avoided. Excessive use of what are deemed mild expletives on the open forum will result in a warning. (9)Harsh expletives (sh*t, f*ck, etc.) are forbidden on all parts of the forum. Expletive use in this forum are still subject to a warning. Excessive use will be subject to warning from moderation up to and including forum access restriction. (10)Harassment Forum users should not be stalking/harassing others on the forums. Anyone found stalking players from topic to topic, etc., will be subject to a warning or access restriction. (11)Gravedigging Gravedigging is not allowed anywhere on the forums. Gravedigging will now be classified as posting in a topic that is dead and has no active discussion for a period of 30 days. Your warn level will be raised if you are caught doing this. (12a)Signatures Those who fail to read and comply by these rules will have their signatures 'fixed' without warning. You may have only 1 picture per signature which may not exceed the maximum size described below, only 4 to 6 lines of text and/or links and a font size no larger than 3 or XXLarge. (12b)Signature pictures must adhere to a total area of 450Wx150H pixels. (12c)Signature shall not link to any other forum.. (13)Forum Bans If you receive a 100% warn level on the forums, you will be banned from the forums. (14)For the benefit of all members, we ask everyone to use their best discretion when coming up with a screen name. We don’t want to be put in a position where we have to single somebody out for choosing a name like Mike Hawk. (15)Moderation Staff Forum moderation is often described as a thankless task – after all it would be impossible to please every party. Being so moderators are here to enforce the rules. If you have a problem with the way a moderator is enforcing the rules or the rules themselves please conduct yourself through private message with the Senior Staff or via the Moderation forum. DISCLAIMER The forum rules are not designed to cover every scenario. Any action that is seen to be counter-productive or harmful to the forum community may be met with moderator action against your account. The Canada HiFi Forum Staff reserve the right to ban your account without warning if you are seen engaging in such behavior.
