Things went quite well. I removed the tweeter and when I barely touched the wire on the negative side off it came. It appears that it was barely making contact and was moving around in the wire clip....

Just a quick update. I ordered the tweeter from Solen (super quick service) and it arrived today. I won't be able to get at it until Monday. I'll keep you informed.
