I find connectors easy to use, especially for A/V receivers. Receivers usually have crammed connections...14-16 connectors for surround...bannana plugs really help.

There is an argument among people saying adding connectors on a speaker cable will alter the sound as well...since it's a different metal and doesn't match that of the cable... while true, I'm not sure how much of an issue to make of it since I don't have too much experience with it...there are already many changes anyhow because the speaker was designed with a different wire internally, then you have the changes in sound at the speaker terminals where wires are connected to...

In the end - don't look at price. The sales floor says a good rule of thumb is that 10% of your total system value is spent on cables. I say just listen to the sound and see if you like the change, if you can detect one at all. the more expensive cable will not always sound better even though our brain will try to convince us of that...just because we hear a change...

If you want to make some pretty cables with excellent specs this link shows you how. http://diyaudioprojects.com/Power/Lo...peaker-Cables/

Here is an interesting opinion on speaker cables. http://www.tnt-audio.com/clinica/spkcbl_e.html

A site with instructions on building a variety of interconnects. http://www.laventure.net/tourist/cables.htm

And another very detailed cable build with sources for parts. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=94203

And I noticed this wire at Costco the other day

And since wirelogic is owned by audioquest it's probably a decent quality product.
