This may be a little off topic but where can I sell a Mobile Fidelity UHQR edition of Sgt. Papper's Lonely Hearts Club Band? It's been played a few times and is in pretty good shape. I thought about eBay but I didn't want to deal with the hassle of shipping and dealing over the Internet in case the person has an issue with the record or its packaging.

Have you thought about Craigslist for your area. That way you are dealing locally, you can have them calling you instead of using email and the internet, and you can have them pick it up if you don't want the hassle of shipping.

I thought about CL as well but I find it filled with spammers, lowballers, and timewasters these days.

I saw one listing on eBay for a sealed copy and the bidding starts at over $1000!

If I were you I would definitely try to sell it on ebay because you would probably get the most money for it - it's a huge audience. I would take good, close-up pictures of the record and the packaging and post a detailed description. As long as you're honest with your description you shouldn't have any issues.

And... back on topic - I wanted to share a fantastic record store with all the vinyl fans on this forum. The place has been around for a long time but I don't think it was mentioned here before. I bought a whole bunch of records there eariler today

It's called Rotate This @ 801 Queen St. West in Toronto. 416-504-8447.

They offer a really great selection of all generes of music on vinyl, including a large rock section. Tons of new releases and a good selection of used vinyl. There are also some new and used CDs. I highly recommend to visit these guys!

And next door, there is a new (I think) vinyl store which specializes in punk rock records. I didn't have enough time to browse their selection but I will definitely be going back

I don't really frequent the downtown Toronto record shops as I live in Oakville, so most of my local purchases are done at:

Ric's Recollections - Mississauga (Lakeshore Rd in Port Credit)
Looney Tunes - Brant Street in Burlington
Sunrise Records - Fairview St in Burlington (Burlington mall)

I also buy a good amount of used titles from the Steve Hoffman forums and Discogs, and also Amazon UK.
John - I love the smell of vinyl in the morning!
