Correct SG, using the digital out on the Jolida bypasses the tube output stage. Funny this is, using the DACMagic the sound was not more "digital" sounding than the tube output. The Jolida actually sounded more clear and precise.

That's very interesting to hear - sounds like that Jolida is a keeper. You've got the best of both worlds - transport + DAC. I believe you also found the Jolida better (more detailed) than the Rega Apollo, as a CDP. Something to say for Jolida.
