Hmmm, maybe worth waiting for, but, Bell had this problem with all of their 9242 PVR's, and probably the same electronics with the 9241. So I wonder if it's even worth being optimistic with the new unit.
However, I'm glad I just read this post of yours, because I just threw out my sticky note this morning, with the number of Bell's Jonathan Bouchard (1-866-310-1119 extension 7518) who is fairly up there in customer satisfaction, and can have a decent-level tech call me in short order. I just fished his name/number out of my waste basket. Perhaps I'll ask him if the new unit solves the crackle issue.
There's a proper time and place for spontaneity, dammit.
