    Default V4 Sonomax headphones

Very original! The in-ear products platform has since been extended to earbuds.

Instruction on the video (see the link):

    Step 1: engage
    Step 2: position
    Step 3: shape
Step 4: time (keep the headphones 4 minutes, do not remove)
    Step 5: remove
    Step 6: complete

Definitely an interesting concept - haven't hear about them before but seems like a quick way to get a custom fit. Now I wonder how they sound?

Today, I heard that this kind of technology exist since a long time. It's use by the professionnal musician. It's seems to be new in the every-day people listening to music.

This is an interesting concept indeed. I've never heard of anything like this myself before. It seems like something that trickled down from the pro to the consumer industry.

I got a pair recently and I'm not an audiophile but I was really impressed by the quality of the sound, you rediscover your music because that is all you hear.
I take public transportation every day and that's where the real "test" is. Amazingly enough, barely any exterior noise! I'm a true believer!
They will officially be on the market soon, their product website is www.soundcageworld.com

Hello epmeyers and thank you for sharing your impression with us! Properly fitted in-ear earphones are without doubt the best solution for those who like to listen to music on the go (epecially on public transportation).

Which model did you buy epmeyers and how much did they cost?

I'm a little bit confused why there are two different websites - there's http://www.sonomax.com and www.soundcageworld.com = any idea?

BTW - this is a Canadian company!

I'm thinking, as their Contact Us page states: SOUNDCAGE™ IS A PRODUCT DESIGNED BY Sonomax Technologies Inc., that Soundcage is just the product site and the company site is Sonomax and yes the are a Montreal, Canada based company. A lot of quality audio products come to us from Quebec e.g. Totem, Sinclair Audio etc.

Hey guys, I know it's a little late, but I will be posting the first review in the world of my pre-release Sonomax Soundstage V4 earbuds on www.pnosker.com.

Hey, I'm a little late on this too.

My stepfather does R&D for Sonomax. He came out of the Hearing aid industry and started a business making custom fit ear monitors for musicians(around 95) adapted from hearing aid technology. Sloan, Celine Dion, Great Big Sea, Iron Maiden...among others used his products for a time. Unfortunately, musicians can be a little tardy and forgetful with their bills(*cough* Iron Maiden *cough*). And Euphone was dismantled when Sonomax was founded(98 I think). It's been an interesting evolution since then. They've had some great products. But, have always been held back by the inconvenience of their fitting systems. But, this is slick.

Anyway, thats a bit of background. Were it not 3am I'd elaborate.

    Happy Holidays
