It seems that the brand name Luxman doesn't exist anymore?
Does someone here know this product?

Ok, I find some information! Luxman is still there, a Japan company but they don't have archives about old product in their Web Site.
Yes Freetoojazz, Luxman is still around... but the company just doesn't have a very wide distribution.
There is no dedicated Canadian distributor, only a North American distributor (based in the US) called On a Higher Note: www.onahighernote.com

Welcome to our forum bcleveland. Why don't you let us know about some of the other equipment that you own and what your AV interests are in the "New Memeber Introductions" thread. Do you have plans to upgrade any of your components in the near future?

Hi bcleveland! Last October, I found one in audio store (used). I just listen it and I didn't believe it. The sound is warm, the bass is deep, the amplification is very good. If I want more power, the Luxman give it with no problem. Great sound for a cheap price. It's a pure happiness. For having the same quality today, I have to spent more than 1000$ Believe me!
I forget to tell you, when I arrived at home I compare it with my Denon AVR-1403 and the Luxman. I bought my Denon AVR-1403 in december 2003. I paid it 529$ (special of a boxing day). I loved it in the beginning. Time after time, I became to be unhappy. I try to find a way to really love it, but it was hard.
After some hours listening the Luxman, everybody came to my house heard the difference. The Luxman is very higher. I put my Denon (2003 is the year of the product) in it's original box. Don't want it anymore! I just sell it to a working colleague.

Glad you are enjoying the receiver, I have a Luxman CD Player D-351 hooked up and that also is a great piece.
Finally, My Luxman R-351 just stop working. No signals at all.
R.I.P. Luxman!
Replacing a component that still works isn't always easy. But replacing one that's "toast" is a no brainerDo you plan to replace this guy with a new 2-channel receiver?
