Anyone buying the BR of Lord of the Rings Extended Edition?

Best price I have seen so far is $60 + tax from Walmart.

I have the original BR box set and love it. I saw a lot of people complaining about the picture quality but I wasn't one of them. The BR was far better than any upconverted LOTR DVD.

I read a couple of reviews and the picture quality of the EE is suppose to be much improved. I can't wait!

I watched all the Lord of the Rings movies originally at the movie theatre and ended up buying only one of them on Blu-ray.

My local Walmart was sold out but Best Buy has it for $64.99 and, if you're a Reward Zone member, you'll receive 400 points for purchasing the box set which is good for $5 off your next purchase.

Don't be too quick to jump on the EE collection of LOTR just yet. When the original boxset came out (not EE) Costco reduced the price to $24.99 within a few weeks through an Instant Rebate Offer. I have no doubt this will happen again. They did the same thing with the Alien boxset, and also the Beatles' Mono and Stereo CD boxsets.
