    Default DeVialet amplifier

Anyone have a chance to try/listen to this gorgeous product from France? If so, which store has it to show? Any feedback would be appreciated.
    the web-site is: http://www.devialet.com/index.php
I saw it briefly in Montreal but would like to actually listen to it.

I'm also curious about the sound of this very high end amp ILoveAudio. I first saw it introduced at the Salon Son & Image earlier this year but like you said it was part of a static display so you couldn't actually listen to it.

I visited the manufacturer website and it looks like in Toronto the exclusive dealer is Executive Stereo (2076 AVENUE ROAD, Toronto, M5M 4A6, TEL (416) 927-1400). I would give them a call first to make sure that they have this amp setup for demo.

Let us know what you think if you actually go out to audition it!

    Hi Suave,
hope you don't mind me adding my 2 cents here...
Hi ILoveAudio, I am the sales representative in Ontario for Plurison (the distributor) and we actually have two dealers that currently have this amazing product for you to audition: Executive Stereo and Audio Eden in Newmarket...I also noticed that you were interested in auditioning the Volent speakers and I believe that Executive Stereo has a pair of demos on hand. Might be worth investigating...

Hello AudioJerome and welcome to the CANADA HiFi forum - it's great to have another member of the industry join our growing community

ILoveAudio - I know that you listened to the Volent speakers at Executive Stereo but did you also listen to the DeVialet amp? If so, what did you think?

    Hi Suave,
I will post my impressions of the Devialet (what a strange name by the way! ) in the amplifiier section but I can tell you that it is INCREDIBLE!
    LOVED IT!!
now I need to figure out what to do with my stuff which is getting up there in age.
I am glad you understood my reluctance to listening to the speakers in a person's home
They look nice and I can't say that they sounded bad, but there was something missing
I couldn't put my finger on it
might be because I am using floor-standing speakers at home to listen to my music.
    Thanks for all your help!

Looking forward to reading your comments on the DeVialet amp ILoveAudio! BTW - this is the amplifier thread so you should be sharing your impressions here

With any luck Plurison, the DeVialet distributor, will have this amp on demo at the upcoming TAVES event - I've very curious about its sound myself.

Personally I though that the sound of the Volent speakers was good but I didn't like the way they looked, or their overall build quality. If you compared them to the sound of our current floorstanding speakers, I'm sure that most of the bottom end would be missing... perhaps you should look for floor standing speakers as a replacement.

I went back to listen to this wonderful unit a couple of days ago in order to write this small "review"
I had focused my attention on the speakers on my last visit and wanted to make sure that I truly listened to the Devialet this time.
It is not "just a pretty box" >> This is an incredibly well built, well designed Piece of Art and it delivers!
Speakers seem to come to life when you use this amplifier!
It produces incredible base and has phenomenal sound stage and imagery.
We compared it to similarly priced amplifiers in the store which I visited (they must be tired of dealing with me by now! ) and there was always a little "something" which the Devialet did better than the other amplifiers.
It's hard to explain but in some cases, it had more depth and in others, it had a bigger sound stage or presence.
I was taken aback by the pure simplicity of its attractive remote.
Simply put, this is THE amplifier I will get myself for X-Mas! Better start saving my pennies!
Even though it is a relatively expensive piece of equipment, I think it's worth it! I think I'm worth it!

Hi....just wondering if you purchased the Devialet? I am currently using a Mastersound 845 Evolution, but am seriously
considering a move back to solid-state.....so of course, I am very interested in your thoughts on the French amp.
    Cheers !

I'm sure I saw this amp at TAVES last year, pretty interesting technology not too sure about paying $18,000 for an amp but I if I won the lottery I'd consider it
