You're perfectly right - if members of online audio video communities would be nice enough to spread the word about TAVES to all of their friends it would go a long way to attracting more visitors to the show. I would certainly be very grateful if members of this forum could start some conversations about TAVES on other forums and not just those related to audio video... but renovation and interior design forums too

By the way, lots of very exciting new TAVES developments have happened in the last couple of weeks (I've been so busy with this stuff that's why I haven't been on the forum for a few days). We've confirmed some awesome new brands that will be at the show this year including MK Sound, LG Electronics, Marantz, PSB Speakers, NAD Electronics... and this is just to mention a few! We'll also expand the number of product categories shown... which will include some commercial/home products (like LG's mirror and glass TVs), some lighting products and acoustic panels. Other very cool ideas are in the works too

I just began writing an article for the Aug/Sept 2012 issue of CANADA HiFi which will expose all of the latest details!

BTW, saw the TAVES ad in August's Stereophile. Oh, and it's located within the pages of Fremer's review of the spectacular DarTZeel NHB-458 amps. Very nice placement to boot.

I've made a lot of great new friends in the consumer electronics industry over the last three years, since we began working on the first edition of TAVES. One of the greatest relationships I developed recently is with a company called Pacific Cabling Solutions (www.pacificcabling.com) from Vancouver. Pacific Cabling distributes a ton of amazing array of audio video brands as well as home automation, commercial products, security & lighting systems and much more. They will have a huge presence at this year's TAVES, turning the largest room on the 2nd floor into a state-of-the-art movie and video gaming home theatre system (MK Sound speakers, Marantz electronics, LG's 3D projector, Palliser HT seating and more!). In addition to all this, the company will also have a large display area in the big TAVES ballroom... details on this will be in the upcoming CANADA HiFi article. Pacific Cabling recognizes the positive impact that TAVES can create for this industry and are willing to go all out to help us make this happen - and we couldn't be more grateful for this

Awesome, nothing better than having a mutually beneficial arrangement with like minded partners. If this goes off as you suggest, I look forward to seeing/hearing what transpires in those Pacific equipped rooms.

Lots of other cool things have transpired since I made the post above (I've been really busy and hence haven't popped on to the forum for several days). First we signed up Marc Saltzman, one of North America's most recognizable tech experts, to participate at the 2012 TAVES. In addition to running one seminar per day for us, he'll also help us promote TAVES through his media associations (TV, radio, online, etc.). This is something we're really thrilled about!!

We also signed up a couple of new vendors (VMAX Services and Atlantia) that will bring a good number of headphone/earphone brands (to demontrate and sell), headphone amps, as well asdesktop and portable DACs. It looks like we'll have 2 different "headphone" areas at this year's show! You can view the brands distributed in Canada by these companies on their respective websites www.vmax-services.com and www.atlantia.ca.

As I mentioned above, the upcoming Aug/Sept 2012 issue of CANADA HiFi will have a feature article which exposes some of the deeper details about the 2012 TAVES... so stay tuned and please give it a read when it comes out

Hey everyone,

I apologize for my absence from the forum for the last couple of weeks. As you might imagine I've been super busy working on the final details for this year's TAVES - which is taking place this weekend.

It's been a lot of very hard work to get to this place but I feel like we are in great shape - we should have a fantastic show this year!! So much bigger in many respects than last year!

I hope to see many readers of CANADA HiFi and members of this forum come out and see all the latest and greatest offerings from our industry at the 2012 TAVES! Your support for all of our efforts would be greatly appreciated

I'll be walking the show floor myself all 3 days - so if you spot me, come say HI!
