Possible CD player upgrade
I own the Cambridge 840C CD player and am quite happy with it. Has anyone done a side by side comparison with the Arcam CD37 or anything else under say $3000, and if so what were your impressions?

Cambridge Audio does make some great sounding CD players - I'm especially fond of their universal 650BD and 751BD players, I own them both.
Arcam also makes amazing sounding components - I own the ARCAM DiVA CD73 CD player as well.
I've never done a direct comparison of the models you mention above but provided that the Arcam CD37 is about $800 more, I would expect it to extract noticably more details from discs. It also plays SACDs which adds to the price tag.
I suggest reading reviews of both players (there are plenty out there) - they should allow you to pick up on the sonic qualities of each.
