    Default RCA Stereo Speaker Cables.

Can anyone recommend really good RCA Stereo cables to be used with a Blu-ray player to connect it to my receiver ( 3 ft. would be enough). Under say $200. Thanks

do you want to pick them up locally? or are you OK with on-line vendors?

For on-line I'd go with http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/audio/index.htm They stick to good basic design with good quality components and have welded connectors. there are others like this, Emotiva and Outlaw Audio come to mind

for something you might find locally I'd go with Nordost, Audioquest, etc.

I've used Outlaw, Bluejeans, Audioquest and DIY's and I currently use Linn Black's

I like the Linn blacks as well.

To seriously beat them reach a lot deeper in to your pockets and upgrade to Transparent Audio cables.

if a system is capable of very high resolution spending money on quality cables makes sense. If the system does not have the capability of high resolution, cables are not at the top of my list of things to buy.

Also one should try out higher cost cables before purchasing due to a number of issues, like how will the components react? will you hear a difference worth the price of the cables?, how will expectation bias affect the sound?, etc.

I've seen cables make a difference in video but that was back in the analogue days and I've heard cables make a difference in a very specific situation but in many cases I've neither seen nor heard a difference. So I find it's a very "iffy" thing to make specific recommendations when there are so many variables involved.

I have my opinions based on my personal experience and since cables are a very controversial topic, I find the best advice is to find a dealer who will let you try before you buy

    Check out Vintage Audio Labs.

My system is outfitted with all of their cabling and I couldn't be happier. The build-quality is absolutely outstanding and first-rate, and their pricing is more than fair.
