Hmmm... interesting points of view about the upgrade paths. The truth is that a lot of us enthusiasts are always looking to upgrade one component or another. I like to think that my system performs as well as the lowest quality component - and it's become a bit of a game where I try to determine which component it is, and upgrade it when the budget allows
pharsyde - I've got my speakers in the dining room sitting on 1-inch thick slabs of granite to reduce mechanical vibrations - that's why I asked about yours. I've also got my front and surround channels sitting on these. I got a countertop warehouse to cut them for me from scrap pieces - they cost me $20 each.
I've always been a fan of Paradigm speakers and I'm thinking of upgrading my home theatre KEF iQ series to perhaps the Paradigm Studio series sometime this year.
